The John Lewis Partnership: The Residency

This project created the first ever fully furnished in-store apartments, offering customers the ultimate try-before-you-buy experience and included the opportunity for some lucky patrons to stay overnight and host private dining experiences.  Everything contained within  each residence were exclusive to John Lewis and available for sale as part of their ‘Only Here’ marketing campaign.

Included in the designs were expansive living and dining areas, fully furnished bedrooms with indoor terraces featuring clean air plants and orange trees, fresh from the nursery at the John Lewis Leckford estate in Hampshire.

Originally penned in for a six week run, the project’s popularity and commercial success meant that it remained open for more than 10 months.
